Painting the Village.
Locals just call it “the Village.” If you’ve wandered the bookshops on Harris Avenue or grabbed a pastry at Colophon, you already know Fairhaven has a character all its own. The Victorians and early Craftsmans lining these streets date to the 1890s — many with original wood siding, intricate trim, and layers of lead paint that require specialized prep.
Our crews are EPA Lead-Safe certified and know how to honor the character of these older homes while giving them a finish that holds up to the salt air rolling off the ferry terminal. We use premium marine-grade primers and top coats on every exterior job in Fairhaven — standard paint does not survive this microclimate.
What we see on Fairhaven homes.
Common home styles
Victorian-era homes (1890s–1910s), Craftsman bungalows, historic commercial buildings along Harris Avenue, and newer condos near the village center.
Popular projects
Lead-safe exterior repaints on historic wood siding, trim and detail restoration, color consultation for period-appropriate palettes, and interior updates in converted historic spaces.
Climate & prep considerations
The Village sits right on the waterfront. Salt air and marine moisture are constant — we use premium marine-grade primers and top coats on every exterior job here.
